ADE Playground
ADE Playground is a pop-up side event that will be an annual feature, and will take place in the vicinity of the Felix Meritis conference centre. The space, which will be divided in four different rooms, is going to be packed with the latest gear and software to create a digital playground without boundaries – but there is more. ADE Playground offers you the opportunity to get in touch with creative brands, arts and visual creations. A place where you can drop in to make beats, have a few drinks and meet like-minded people. Novation, Beatport and Do It Yourself DJ will serve both ADE badge holders and the general public.
Novation
Novation has been designing gear for music producers for over two decades. From industry-standard synthesizers to ground breaking software controllers, including the Launchpad Ableton Live controller. Novation will present itself at ADE Playground with a selection of their best toys for the audience to come and play with. There will be product specialists available to show you around - but you’re also free to just stop by and make music. Novation’s European Artist Relations manager will be there to discuss artist endorsements with anyone who’s interested.
Beatport

For ADE Playground, Beatport will host a special bar where Beatport cocktails will be served.
Do It Yourself DJ
Do It Yourself DJ is an installation that lets you mix audio samples from old school cassette tapes. Place a cassette tape on one of the four symbols and mix drums, basses and melodies together. You can even record your own samples on a cassette tape in the mini recording station.
In 2011, ADE Playground will be located in the building connected to the back of Felix Meritis. The spaces are available for badge holders as well as the general public. The badge holders can enter the ADE Playground via Felix Meritis, non-badgeholders have their own entrance at the other side of Felix Meritis, on the Prinsengracht canal. The ADE Playground holds four different rooms, and will be open from Wednesday 19 October until Saturday 22 October, between 12pm and 7pm.
